Architecture Research

Use this folder for time-boxed research spikes that reduce uncertainty before an architecture or design decision.

A spike should record:

• The question and why it matters
• Constraints and success criteria
• Options investigated
• Evidence, prototypes, or measurements
• Security, privacy, offline, self-hosting, licensing, and operational findings
• Gallery or registry impact when reusable/community assets are involved
• Recommendation and remaining uncertainty
• The ADR or design document that will consume the result

Research findings are evidence, not durable decisions. A decision becomes binding only when its ADR is accepted and the master architecture and design plan is updated.
